If my better pitchers are on the bench, it's because it was copied/posted on a day when they weren't starting and other pitchers on my roster were.
This was a 6-man Y! League. It was originally an 8-man league, but was forced into a 6-man on draft day.

ok bro cehck it out.....
c- Brian McCann is probably the top power hitter from the catcher position last yera hitting 24? or 22 and hitting .333.....now dont expect the .333 average to still be here this year because thats asking too muc but expect the 20+ homers again this year..... i say he gets about 24/90/.300 is more realistic then .333 for the year .....
1b- Ryan Howard is having a tough time this year aka "sophmore slump" dont worry he will do just fine i think....he wont top last years homer numbers but will hit in the 40 range this year.....also hitting in a lineup with pat"the bat"burrel and utley and rollins always helps lol....look for him to give you about 45/125/.285 on the year...the one down side is that last yera he struck out alot but im willing to overlook that....can you? lol
2b- Josh Barfield is underrated and slumping at the moment...the transistion could be the reason from one league to another but that shouldnt be an excuse he is a good young hitter in a hitters park in a deadly lineup...look for him to heat up and hit you about 15-20/75+/.290 on the year outta barfield....
3b- Garret Atkins....atkins is one hell of a pick. Really has good power and strenght and hits in a hitters park as well. hits in front of people like helton and holliday and hawpe make him a lock in for 100 runs scored as well as contributing to the power as well giving you between 30-35 homers with 110 rbis and bat around .300 for the year...
ss- Jimmy Rollins power last yera could be because he is getting older and a bit bigger but the speed numbers were there as well last yera...i expect him to do the same seeing as he hits in the lineup aformentioned in howards analysis....so look for him to give you 18/84/.290 and steal close to 30 bases as well.....
of- Manny "Man-Ram" Ramirez has yet to hit his first homer but do not worry because last yera he had a drought similar (16-game drought – hit 35 HRs)....so there is really nothing to worry about in the long run and he seems to hit for a soid average yera in and year out regardless of manny being many lol....look for him to give you 35/120/.310 on the year for the man ram.......
of- Bobby Abreu seems to be fitting in just fine with the new york yankees...well hitting after jeter and before arod can make anyone giddy.......since he hits in such a dangerous lineup he sees more pitches to hit and gets more opportunities to drive in more runs and score more as well as hit more homers in the long run...the short porch in right field helps his swing out too!.....look for him to get some of that power back....look for him to score well over 100 runs, drive in 110 at least hit 20 homers or so and hit for a .310 average as well....he also has good speed which can give you about 15-20 stolen bases as well....
of- Jermaine Dye last year was a saviour for my fantasy team along with howard but forget about that lol..dont expect his 44 homers again this year....he has always been an offensivily sound hitter but he just wont reporduce that kind of season again....30/110/.300 are more realistic out of jermaine dye than 44/120/.315 like last year....
util- David "Big Papi" Ortiz.....starting to get a feel for the plate again...took him a while...but now with another homer last night really getting into the swing of things seeing more pitches with the addition of drew behind him and will produce a hella alot more runs with lugo and youk in front i say hes a lock for 40/130/.300 whihc is weird seeing a big man bat .300 and hit 40 over the wall......
util- Travis "Pronk" Hafner is a monster expect mvp type numbers out of him, this man can swing a bat.....he has raw power and hits for a good average but having no 1b eligibilty really lowers his value. i wouldnt be surpirsed if him or sizemore was mvp this year...look for him to give you 40-45/130/.300 on the year if he cna stay healthy....
bn- Bill Hall has great value due to eligibiltty at 3b,ss, and of whihc really helps with trade value if you wanted to trade him...but i would advise not too considering his 30+ homers last year i would think he would repeat agian this year....started off slow so far but hit a grand slam yesterday and now that weeks and fielder are coming around and a hot hitting estrada, hall should see more pitches to hit there in hitting homers and driving in runs i say he gaves you about 30/100/.270 ....the .270 is because he is a rip it or miss player..he strikes out a fair amount of times....
bn- Ian Kinsler is the real deal...has 6 homers allready and has that power stroke that you dont see too often out of 2b....he resembles chase utley but with speed!.....the kid can do it allmost...i myself would rather have him over barfield but hey it doesnt matter...the kid will get ya 20+/90+/.300 and steal 15-20 bases as well.....
as for your rotation....
sp- Chris Young is tall and lanky like a randy johnson in his prime except not close...i dont really think he is that good to be honest with you but everyone else loves his stuff...from what ive seen hes not too good....he has upside and potential but we'll see if he can harness it...look for himt o go 14-11 with 170k and era around 4 for the year in san diego with the padres....
sp- Jason Schmidt is looked at as being on the decline...i say no friggen way...yea he may have lost some velocity but i think he still has enough for one or 2 more good seasons...has really been rocked so far this year but im sticking with him to turn it around....not the man he once was though....still good for 14-16 wins and era around 3.70 and 150k if he can remain healthy.....
rp- Mariano "Mo" Rivera....is one of the best...yea he gave up a 3 run walk off to scutaro...he made a mistake big deal...i think hes still dominant as ever...one of the best cutters you'll ever see is thrown by that man....he can still get it done...and he has been throwing 96 on the radar as well which is a plus....look for 37 saves or so era around 2 and 70k on the year.....
rp- Tom Gordon.....is aging but that curveball is still rediculous...he proved last yera that he can still close out a game and thats all that matters....if hes healthy he can save close to 35 games this year in philadelphia....
p- Bobby Jenks is on the Billy Koch path as a closer..high era, high heat, high strikeout rates as well.....you gotta expect his 4.00 era because thats just him but also be happy to expect the 35 saves and 90k for a closer thats damn good........
p- Matt Cain.....is the future ace of the giants stafff...the kid has some sick stuff but just has to learn to harness and control it and he will be all set....can really get on a roll in a game with the k's if he gets started....doesnt get a hell of a lot of run support though so that is one thing that goes against him...look for him to give you 14-16 wins 190k and era around 3.90 for the year....
p- Adam Wainwright to me hasnt proven a good fantasy pitcher because he doesnt strike out a lot, walks about 3 per 9 and thats about it...he is good for wins and thats all starting the year out 2-0 but thats about it...
bn- Josh Beckett looks better than ever and that really is scarey....he is proving that he can pitch in the AL east in a big way....3-0 already and striking out people at an alarming rate cant be good for opposing batters....if he stays blister free expect cy young numbers from him....i see him going 17 or so wins with era around 3.40 and 200+ strikeouts but he will have an occasional bad outing if he doesnt throw the curve......
bn- Dan Haren.....dont be scared by his 0-2 record because for the first 2 games his era was 0.69 wihich means no run support yet has filthy stuff....look for him to give you about 16 wins with era around 3.70 and 170k on the year from haren......
bn- Jeremey Bonderman is still in his twenties with time for improvement and thats scary as well...usually a 200+ k pitcher and a proven innings eater can realy help your team out.....look for him to win close to 16 games with era around 4 and strikeout 210 or so....
bn- Cole Hamels has a vendetta against the league for what i dont know..but thats good news for you.....he thinks he can be the best and that means he will stirve to be the best and thats good....he really is a k machine....good for 15-17 wins with era around 4 and stirkeout over 200 as well only if he can pitch to his potential though......
overall i would say that your team is stacked....your lineup is rediculous except the one change i would make is to have kinsler starting and it wouldnt hurt to have one more speed guy in your lineup because you have 2 real threats in rollins and abreu and kinsler can steal some but thats about it and the other people in your leauge most likely have more speed guys than you do....you have plenty of poewr throughout your lineup with just abouve every one hitting for power and almost everyonein your lineup hits for average so your team BA will be in the .300's somewhere.....here is a list of sleepers to keep in mind if you need to grab one....
c- Chris Ianneta or estrade both are having good years iannetta in colorado and estrada in milwaukee sholuld both have good years.....
1b- Chris Duncan of saint louis has great power if he can hit lefties he should hit 30 homers this year.....
2b- Aaron Hill has been having a good year in toronto to start and he should continue giving you solid numbers all around....
3b- Akinori Iwamura can hit for average and has good plate discipline but dont expect the 30 homres he got in japan ....
ss- Tony Pena Jr in kansas allready has 4 triples and can really swing the bat...has good speed .....
of- Ty Wigginton has good 20 homer potential for tampa and
of- Brad Hawpe is consistent ever year and should get about 20 homers agian this year.....
of- Chris B Young....should have a solid year in arizona hitting about 70 rbis on the year....
util- Nick Markakis....in baltimore that kid can flat out hit!....
others to keep in mind.....tracy, elijah dukes, jonny gomes, chris duffy, and lyle overbay.......
as for your rotation
you have alot of good proven starters most of which are capable of 200k if they can all pitch to their potential and you have 3 legit 30+ save closers as well...i really like your rotation but here is a list of sleepers i wil provide anyways if someone gets hurt...
sp- Jeremy sowers should have a good year in cleveland since lkast year in his rookie year had a solid year.................
sp- Ian Snell....can strikeout a decent amount in pitt...if gets run support should get double digits in wins....
rp- Dan wheeler recently named closer in houston....
rp- torres or reyes should get decent amount of saves for their respective teams...
p- Anibal sanchez doesnt put up particularly great fantasy numbers but good for wins
p- Adam Loewen poised young kid in baltimore who could have hell of a year....
p- Jason Jennings with run support should do better than when he was in colorado.....
also keep an eye on daniel cabrera, zach greinke, jason hirsh, clay hensley, pavano, igawa, micah owings, and mike pelfry......
so overall your team is STACKED....you could use one more speedster but thats about it....
i really see this team making a urn in the postseason barring any setbacks i.e. injuries......
hope i helped
goodluck
and have fun!!!

7.5/10. Let's look at it player by player:
Brian McCann - not the best catcher out there, but still ranks somewhere on top. anyway, you can't really find a good catcher in the MLB so he'll do just fine for you
Ryan Howard - he was amazing this year, but I'm not so ecstatic about him this year. Last year was a once-in-a-lifetime performance that will never happen again, or atleast not for another 5-6 years.
Josh Barfield - *** (see below)
Garrett Atkins - plays on a terrible team, but still puts up okay numbers flying solo. He is one of the best third basemen out there, and probably the second best player on the Rockies
Jimmy Rollins - he's going to give you alright numbers ; you may not be satisfied, but he'll only play up to expectations and that is just what we're expecting of him
OF - you've got one of the best outfields I've seen anywhere. Bobby Abreu is a solid RF, Jermaine Dye will deliver 35+ HR's, prediction of 38 maybe. And then Manny he's one of the best of the best
David Ortiz - no comment about this guy ; and that's a positive comment in this case because this guy is too good for someone like me to write a comment on him
Travis Hafner - you can't really get any better than him when it comes to UTIL. last year and the years before that, this guy was THE difference maker for a HELL OF A LOT of fantasy baseball managers. he may not play that miraculously in the MLB, but he is a GODDAMN angel in Fantasy Baseball.
BN - no offense against you or anything, but I don't find any material I like on this Bench
So your offense is stacked and deserves a 7. It's okay, but not a serious contender for the championship of your league. No SB's man.
*** = As I said *** for Josh Barfield, this is why. You need to trade this guy immediately before he ruins your Batting Average terribly. This guy sucks and you'll suck with him if you keep him. My guess is to trade him for a faster guy who'll give you more steals, like say Ryan Freel or Ryan Zimmerman, but if no one else is willing to trade for the guy (I can see why this could happen) then release him for some speed off of the waivers
My bad I don't have time to rate and comment on your pitching crew, but just looking at it for a second or two, I know what you have and what you don't have.
Have = You're stacked on starters and have enough to keep the season going
Need = More closers. Trade 2 starters for 2 more closers. Saves are the most important category in Fantasy Baseball and so you're going to need atleast 3 of them.
Everything else is fine. Good luck!
Source(s): P.S. You don't need two first basemen. What I'd do is keep David Ortiz and move him from UTIL to 1B. Lose Ryan Howard for the best speedy guy you can trade for, because seriously, Ryan Howard is a first round drafter, so he's worth LOTS of speed. Try getting Grady Sizemore and a minor player who's on the team of whoever has Grady. - Anonymous4 years ago
you're extremely prepared to pass in a 6 group blended league?? what's the element. it is going to come right down to good fortune interior the draft. i'm undecided Miguel Cabrera may well be there at p.c.. 12. If he grew to become into, i might take him. undecided why you does not want Sizemore, he's hitting 30 hrs, utilising in 85, stealing 30, and in all risk scoring a hundred twenty five this 12 months. Edit to KKM, there may well be no way Hanley Ramirez may well be attainable. He'd be a appropriate 5 p.c... Pujols, Arod, Hanley Ramirez, Jose Reyes, Chase Utley,

why are your best pitchers on the bench???
how many teams are in this league?
are you drafting with monkeys?
how did you get 4 first/second rounders on your team? (Howard, Ramirez, Ortiz, Hafner)
