Problems connecting to Xbox Live [Original Xbox]?
For some reason everytime I try to go onto Xbox live, it tells me it cannot find my DNS and then it says it cannot locate Xbox Live...
I recently got a new connection, mostly just to play Halo 2, so this completely upsets me...The connection is Cable based, by Comcast...
I was wondering though, is it the Xbox that is having the problems? Or is it the connection? 'Cause my connection works perfectly on my computer.
Any help is appreciated, as to what I should do.

Are you trying to connect thru your PC or direct or thru the router?
Direct thru the Cable modem is best (if possible due to port numbers) http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/xb...
Thru your router is next best. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/xb...
And last, thru a shared connection on your PC. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/xb...
One of these should work for you. I have always found with my xbox(s) that I need to turn off everything and power up in sequence in order for my router to properly recognize and assign IP to my xbox ethernet.

Same problem here. So its not your connection. Do not adjust any setting or such. Just have to wait. This happened about a month ago too.................
