My guess without actually examining the car would be somewhere between 10k to 17k. Collector car insurance is considerably cheaper than for a daily driver.I have my Lancia insured for 12k and it costs $165 a year.

You could also have the vehicles appraised by a professional collector car appraisal service.Check out

for appraisal services and to compare other Desotos for sale.

contact hagerty insurance for a quote for classic cars

    Its not very expensive

ex: my 1970 superbee ( with my own set value costs me $ 350 for the entire year)

    http://www.hagerty.com/

you set your own value price, must take pictures on the interior, all sides, the engine compartment, the inside of the trunk for documentation to send along with the check, paperwork

    It must be garage kept

    not raced

    not a daily driver

is it garaged? most classic car insurance companies won't touch them if not garaged, if it's not restored, then it's only worth 1-2k and not worth insurance

Insurance is not as bad as you think, but they will want pictures and you wound not be able to drive it everyday- like to work

Depends on its condition.... most places won't touch it for insurance... you will have to get some type of classic/antique insurance...good luck
