How much money did the tooth fairy leave under your pillow when you were a kid?

I would get a bunch of change. It would usually add up to a dollar. Nowadays, I hear of children getting $25.00.

I would usually get a dollar for each tooth I'd lose. I think it's ridiculous that kids are getting so much money nowdays. The tooth fairy must be getting real poor.

LOL--I got like 2 dollars. And I really believed there was a tooth fairy. I got suspicious once because the "tooth fairy" left the tooth under the pillow. But I never knew until my parents finally told me. DAMN 25.00?? Let me go lose a tooth--LOL--

You think they'll pay more if it has a root on it?

When I was a child and lived far out into the country, I was told that the Tooth Fairy did not make house calls in our neck of the woods. When we moved to the city, the old gal came by while I was sleeping, but only left an I.O.U.

a buck a tooth - well, after the creation of the loonie 1 dollar coin here in Canada... 25 cents until then...

a lot of my baby teeth had to be pulled cuz the roots didn't dissolve before the adult teeth started growing out; the dentist gave me a dollar a tooth too for being such an uncomplaining patient - that's on top of the dollar store jewelry/toys he always had for us kids! I thought I was making a killing...

I was lucky to get something....a dollar maybe....the tooth fairy leaves 10 bucks under my son's pillow. Sometimes the tooth fairy has to give in to inflation

When I lost my first tooth I got a dollar. I got a dollar for most of them but when I had to have a molar taken out because my mouth was not big enough to hold it I got 5.

I dont remeber exactly, but I do remeber being surprised that anything was left. I wasnt really sure if the tooth fairy existed or my parents left the money. all that was really important was there was some money left. I guess it was a lot cause i remeber looking forward to my next tooth falling out. lol :)

I can't remember that far away, maybe a dollar. My son has lost two teeth and we have left him three or four dollars each time. $25 is a bit much!! That must be the well off parents leaving their kids that kind of money.

usually 25 cents, maybe $1 if the tooth fairy was feeling especially generous...my friend gives her kids $20 or $25 a tooth!!!

Now, if thats the case. 25 bucks a pop. If I were a kid, I would purposely knock out my own teeth. 3 teeth lets see 75 bucks. I would hire my friend to knock out 2 more for me. Thats 125 bucks. Who needs to do chores, I would be rich and toothless. The norm when I was growing up, was a quarter.
