Player you would pick up in Fantasy Baseball?
What player or players would YOU pick up in fantasy baseball? I'm looking for someone way under the radar or are just now exerting their presence (like Josh Hamilton) as I am looking for ideas to 'spice' up a team of mine.
Please be specific as to why.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

If your wire is bare on saves - then look to M. Capps in Pittsburgh. Filthy stuff, sooner or later he should supplant S.Torres as the closer.
If you are looking for a solid bat in the OF - check out A.Lind in Toronto. He will be replacing Reed Johnson and has the minor league pedigree to be a solid 20 HR/80 RBI .280 bat.
For starting pitching - keep your eyes Matt Garza from Minnesota - he should get a shot at Ponson's spot in the rotation sooner than later and have the markings of an ace.

From Yahoo:
Chris Duncan and fantasy owners apparently hate it. How else can we explain that despite three homers and a .385/.455/.718 batting line, Duncan entered the week only 52.9 percent owned? He belted 22 home runs in only 280 at bats last season and he hits second for St. Louis, immediately ahead of Albert Pujols and Scott Rolen.
This guy will have a big year!
I also like Scott Podsednik. I know ALOT of players dropped him. He looks like he has regained his hitting eye and still has alot of speed.
Good luck this year

I do like Josh Hamilton, alot. I also like Dan Wheeler (who is still a vailable in half of leagues. Someone said Chris Duncan bats ahead of Albert Pujols. Think about that, all he has to do is get on, and hes most likely gonna score. Don't be surprised if he scores 100+ runs bats .275 and gets 30hr.

it depends on your team and your strengths and weaknesses.
Under the Radar:
SP Tim Lincecum for the Giants. not in big leagues yet, but think lariano when he does come up.
OF Fleix Pie of the cubs is getting a chance. If he stays up when soriano comes back, look for jo. jones to be traded and soriano moved to left. Pie will offer you SB's and Runs
2b Theriot on the cubs as well. If you have a weak 2b Theriot is quickly proving he is an everday starter. Sb,R and Avg.
SP Homer Bailey of the Red. Come July, Bailey is the man.

I agree with all the players mentioned by previous posters. Depending on how deep your league is, some of them may or may not be available. For example, the league I'm currently in is HUGE and all players start, so none of those players are available....so I'll go with a "deeper" sleeper, but only due to his current minor league status. Billy Butler of KC is possibly the biggest hitting prospect in the minors, and had a tremendous spring. With Mike Sweeney struggling, I see Butler coming up within the next few weeks. Grab him the second he does.

The 5th p.c.. is a wild card yet once I had to choose for the 5th p.c.., it may be David Wright... - on condition that 2005, Wright has be waiting to end the season with a minimum of 20 HR, a hundred RBI, .3 hundred undemanding, ninety Runs, and 10 SB for the previous 3 seasons. - He replaced into one among purely 3 gamers to end the 2007 season with 30 HR and 30 SB (the different replaced into Jimmy Rollins and Brandon Phillips) and the only 3B to end that feat in 2007. - He be waiting to set profession highs in runs (113), batting undemanding (.325), HR (30), SB (34), OBP (.416), SLG (.546) - he's 3 HR shy of the a hundred profession HR mark (presently take a seat at ninety seven) and his profession batting undemanding is .311 - Wright has lots of secure practices interior the lineup (Beltran, Delgado, Reyes). - He hasn't attain the extreme factor of his profession yet (he's merely 25, entering his 5th season). - He performs the main suitable place in baseball astonishing now for delusion gamers (3B) and hasn't omit a interest by way of wreck. Holliday, M-Cabrera, Rollins, J. Santana, and Ryan Braun is additionally your 5th p.c.. yet Wright is a clever p.c...
