Does anyone know what someone would want with massive amounts of cell phones?

I live in a rural area and today 7 people went into both of our dollar stors and tried to buy all the cell phones that were in each store. The clerk was suspicious and contacted law enforcement. They searched their car and found hundreds of cell phones..... no activation or pre-paid cards. What were they up to?

Umm, there could be several reasons but we cant truly know unless they admit it on TV.

Cellphones however have been the next terrorism plot, for they can be turned into small detonators. With a device that small, someone could put a small charge and cause harm.

Shame what this world has become...

i saw something like that on the news...well the guys they caught on the news tried to buy dozens of cell phones at the dollar store to sell them on the net for a much higher price...but the police thought they were using the cell phones to make bombs or something...it was linked to terrorism they thought...but who knows.
