What was that early 90s Christian song that said "black coffee in my coffee cup"? Not, Carly Simon. Thanks.

It also mentioned, "there are clouds in my coffee." Though, as I said, I am not meaning Carly Simon. This was more upbeat and was by a Christian band. I can't remember the band or the rest of the lyrics to save my life. Anyone at all know what I'm talking about? Thanks!

Update:

Thanks all. I did try google, and others: no luck. And no, it's not Chris Rice, either. But thanks. I appreciate everyone's help.

I'm pretty sure this is the song you are talking about:

    Chris Rice - Smellin' Coffee

From the album Past the Edges

Last thing I remember, sayin' bye to yesterday

Glad to see it over, pullin' covers over my head

But what were You doin' while I dreamt the night away

'Cause I can tell that somethin's different

and my eyes ain't even open yet

    Chorus:

    I'm smellin' coffee

    Birds are singin' just outside

Here comes Your mercy streamin' in with the morning light

My heart is racing waking up to Your smile

    It's a good morning, yeah

    It's a good morning

Well I remember readin' You're the God who never sleeps

And while I've been dreamin' You've been singing over me, yeah

Singin' about my freedom, wakin' me up to hear Your song,

And now Ican't dance hard enough

'Cause yesterday is gone, gone, gone!

    Chorus

    Every little breath, every heartbeat

Is a gift of love that You give to me

You keep givin' even when I'm asleep

'Cause I know You never stop watching over me

I wake up, my past is gone

'Cause Your mercy's new with the mornin' sun

    I'm forgiven, I'm free, it's a brand new day

'Cause Your faithfulness is the greatest! (hey!)

    Chorus

"You're So Vain" is a song written and performed by Carly Simon released in December 1972. The song is a sarcastic profile of a self-absorbed lover. The song was a number-one hit (it topped the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks in early 1973, and also spent two weeks at the top of the Adult Contemporary chart, her first #1 song on either chart), and spawned what many fans consider to be the biggest musical mystery of the era. There has been much debate over who exactly the song is about. Popular guesses on the subject include Mick Jagger (who sang uncredited backing vocals on the song), Cat Stevens, Warren Beatty, Kris Kristofferson (with whom she had had brief relationships), unfaithful fiancé William Donaldson, and Simon's ex-husband, James Taylor.

Sounds a little familiar, but I don't know. Try Googling the lyrics you are sure of.
