Brake pedal noise?
My brake pedal squeaks (well groans) when I press it. The noise seems to be coming from the pedal, not the brakes themselves. Brakes still work fine. Any ideas?

Sounds like the brake booster actually. Get under the dash and listen closely, see if the noise is actually coming from the pedal mounting bushings or if it's louder near the firewall where the rod goes into the booster. That groan noise is usually caused by the teflon ring that seals the rod. Sometimes you can push the seal back and stop the noise...for a while...

Servos???? is your ABS light on? all i know that if you have ABS on a car, it might do that. heard it on my sister Explorer. well i was kind hitting the brakes hard comming too a stop.

i would have to agree about the booster, he sounds like he knows what he is talking about, i only ever replaced one booster while working at the dealership i was in, was fun stuff lol
