Calling Russia?
I am engaged to a Russian woman who will be coming here to the US very soon. I am looking for the most reliable and inexspensive way for her to be able to call her family on a regular basis in Belgorod Russia.
Either a phone service or a specific phone card.
Any recommended web sites would be helpful as well.
Thanks

Congratulations on your engagement!
I live in Alaska and very often call Russia by using a phone service called Penny Talk (www.pennytalk.com). It is fairly cheap and "blonde-free" service, and I highly recommend you to check it out.
The Internet way would be www.skype.com or even www.yahoo.com, buy Skype is easier to use and absolutely free if your fiance has earphones and a mic.

I live on cape cod, just s.e. of boston. I have a friend that lives in south america. I put an international calling plan for $4 a month on my phone calling plan. Instead of $1.50 a min (est..) I pay 34 cents per min. Just limit your time!

i am a student from Russia, and i call my family several times a week for past 2 years.
so, i would personally recommend using Skype (skype.com), it is free and very convenient.
as to a calling card, Minuta v Minutu is pretty good, you can buy it on line at minvmin.com
