a perfectly perfect 2d circle has either 1 or 2 sides, if it a circle o thats hollow like a polo mint (if it ws 2d) or hulahoop der is 2 inside and outside, if there is no whole in the middle like a ...erm... a coin ( if it was 2d)! then it jus has an outside one. so it depends... u get me?

Sounds like you are trying to use polygon terminology for a shape that is not a polygon.
1 or infinity, depending on how you look at it. I consider it to be one. Just because I have to deal with infinity enough in analysis.
