You can save it on a CD/DVD USB Flash Drive or an external harddrive.

You can save your files and documents to CD. Open your program and choose make a data CD. Follow the instructions from there. It isn't easy but with some practice you will get it. Of course some programs are easier than others. I use both Roxio and Nero, so if you have either of these, you can do it. Good luck.

You can burn your files onto CD, but a typical CD only stores about 700MB, which is less than a typical USB drive nowadays ( they are usually 1 GB or more ).
Why not buy an external hard disk drive in the 150-200GB range, you'll have more than enough room for lots of stuff.

a CD or DVD burner is the easiest way, since the media is cheap and fairly durable (and you can make extra copies in case). windows xp should let you burn files onto a CD easily, or you can use any other program to do it.

First of all, dont go to Vi$ta
If everything you have will fit on a cd, you can do it that way.....DVDs hold much more, if you have a DVD writer. I use an external hard drive for this stuff.
