Did you ever run away as a child?

When I was six, I took my teddy bear, a couple pairs of underwear, and a little debbie snack cake and made a run for it. I circled the block six times trying to figure out what to do about the "crossing the street without a grown up" situation, and finally realized it was pointless and went home. When I walked in the kitchen, my mother was waiting for me and BOY MY ASS HURT that night..

A neighbour had called round and she was telling my Mother that her Daughter had left and gone into the Navy and she was talking about all the places she would see,I thought it sounded really good so I thought I would do it.

I packed my slippers a doll and some sweets and got to the end of the road before I realised I didn't know where I was going so I went home.I was three years old!

Yes I did...I took a red handkerchief and wrapped up my bubbles, and some candy, tide it closed around a stick and ran away to the side of the house. I sat there a long time and then I just went back in my room after I got bored. LOL

Yeah-- several sets of clothes, enough money to get a bus ticket & pay for a hotel the first night....
