the cord of my headphones is too long. Solution?
I already broke one cord because it was too long. I don't want to break another. I had stepped on the first one and managed to rip the cord out of the earpiece. Does anyone know a way to keep the extra length out of the way? (if anyone wants to know, these are Sony MDRQ22LP's)

I have had this problem too. One option is to wrap it several times around whatever you're listening to (Ipod or the like) and then secure that with a rubber band. Another is to to tie some knots in the cord -- only do this if it is the kind of wire that bends really easily, such that you won't damage it.
Good luck...

i'm unsure approximately your setup however the cord for my front headphones connects to the sound card and not the motherboard.examine your sound card to ascertain if it has the connector equipped on it.

just tie a knot or two in the middle
