Hello latte81, if you are young you probably have little experience with business. I admire your belief in the product, and the fact that you want to start your own business.
I have learned a lot of skills from a friend that have worked from home for more than 20 years.
If you want, I can give you a few advices on the way.
- Do you like to sell?
- Have you tested your market, who is going to buy from you ?
- What about competition, is it others doing the same as you?
- What about financing your stock, or will you be produceing from orders ?
- What is your budget, have you looked into all salescosts and what about your salary?
- What is your expectations, when are you going to break even ?
Remember to set goals, both small and big goals, it will help you stay on the line, when times are difficult.
This is a few of the questions that is important to ask yourself before your do any investments. I my self are not working with products that you are going to, I am working with services we all use every day. Why, I do not like to sell.
If you have any more questions or if I can help you any way, send me a e-mail.
All the best to your new business

Market research. Try to find out what people associate with Greece. Ask around. Conduct informal interviews on the streets, and create polls on open forums (such as Yahoo Answers).
This will give you more insight into what could sell more. And what you may have missed, maybe.
Also conduct a separate series of interviews that will tell you what age groups and lifestyle groups are more likely to buy your Greek stuff.
Ask them straightforward questions about age, occupation, some preferences, then ask about what they love about Greece, stuff that will tell you how much people like Greek stuff.
Then get a shop. The location must be near a place where groups identified in the second series of interviews are most likely to pass. Or some location that is well known for Greece-related shops and restaurants.
Others will probably be able to answer you on the questions of finance etc. I can tell you that you need people to handle bookkeeping and legal stuff (at least in the form of advice).

Hey there neighbor...Turkish citizen here :) I actually am in the apparel business, i own a brand name and i buy the clothing, shirts, sweaters, suits and jackets from Turkey, really cheap and very good quality. I tell the makers of the apparel to put my brand name label on it and that is the best way to start an apparel business. Its not worth making your own material, because there are many businesses especially overseas will do it cheaper. Name sells! my advice is to create a brand name and search the net or visit Greece and check with merchants like ma and pop shops, which are usually family run businesses and they will give you the best price and high quality product.
I would HIGHLY recommend reading following books:
The Dynamics of Fashion by Elaine Stone
No Logo by Naomi Klein
Fashion Brands by Mark Tungate
Good luck with everything, halukcan2001@yahoo.com
