Spiders do a lot of good by eating other insects that invade your home.

I would recommend starting with sealing cracks and crevices around your windows and doors. Spiders have to have food to survive so you must have other insects as well. Most species can go 6 months or longer without feeding so there is not a quick solution unless you go thru the house swatting any you see.

A proper perimeter treatment around the eaves, doors and windows will reduce populations from getting inside. Also reduce the number of shrubs and trees that touch the house. This will limit how they can get to the home and make any pest treatment more effective.

I have heard that placing crab apples in the corners of your house will help eliminate those ewey critters. If you have a basement put them in the corners down there. But make sure you put something under them so when they start to rot they wont make a mess on the floor; and of course you will have to replace them every so often. But the only thing is is that they are not edible for humans but im not sure about animals so if you think your animals might try to eat them then its prolly not a good idea. I hope this helps if not then sorry.

You can get sticky traps for spiders, the spiders walk onto them and they can't get off and they die. You can put them in out of the way spots and leave them there. No chemicals, and they work great, I use them in my basement. The only problem....who picks them up when they are full of dead spiders???? OMG, I can't go near them. That's what men are for, they have to pretend it doesn't bother them, LOL.
