My computer seems to be hacked & there's virus in it!!! What should i do?

So in the internet explorer title bar, I can see (i.e): Yahoo! Answers - - Hacked by 1BYTE {'NO VIRUS NO WORK NO MONEY'}

I can't open d task manager, & some other stuffs have are also like some kind of disabled, so I guess my computer has been hacked and there's a virus in my computer.

Well I guess it's trojan. I dont know wtf trojan is but argh, what should I do? I have a flashdisc, and yesterday I saved a document from the computer to my flashdisc, since I'm gonna need it for my presentation at school. When I got to school, I tried to open the document, u know, to do last-minute check ups. But IT CAN'T BE OPENED!

So usually when u put d flashdisc on your comp, it'll appear in ur My Computer right. But there's no sign of my flashdisc. There's this small light on my flashdisc that will turn yellow, to show that it's 'active' or somethin like that. But today the light was off. When I got home, I tried to open it. I could open it, but it's empty.

What should I do? TT.TT

Run a TotalScan from Panda and you will find exactly what kind of infection you have. This tool is their newest mega detection tool, it has more virus definitions than anything else out there and it detects all kinds of malware (trojans, viruses, worms, adware, spyware, hacking tools, dialers, etc.).

You can find it at http://www.infectedornot.com/ This site is owned by Panda and it is part of their new "Infected or Not?" campaign. Panda lets you try their newest stuff and they get to collect stats which are later published in the web site to raise awareness on the malware problem.

It is very doubtful that anyone "hacked" you. Much more likely you visited an infected website, or clicked on an infected link in an instant message or e-mail. Or perhaps you shut your firewall off (a major no-no) to allow some game to work or some program to work. Maybe you downloaded a virus using Limewire. Limewire downloads are loaded with malware. The "Hacked by 1BYTE" is just a little something that the virus writer put in to annoy his (her?) victums.

Don't you have current anti-virus and anti-spyware programs to scan your computer with? If not, run both of these on-line scans and let them remove what they find. Both are free and excellent at detecting and removing malware free of charge. There is no need to un-install any current protections before using these.

    1. Scan for virus, worms etc. and remove (free online scan, no download) with BitDefender's Online Scanner

    http://www.bitdefender.com/site/home/

    2. Scan for trojans and spyware and remove (free online scan, no download) with Ewido Online Scanner ( now known as AVG Anti-Spyware). This is NOT the same as AVG Anti-Virus.

    http://www.ewido.net/en/

These scans will take quite a bit of time. The time is necessary to clean-up an infected computer.

I wish I could be of more help, but many statements in your question are a bit vague.

I have no idea what you mean by a "D Task Manager".

" some other stuffs have are also like some kind of disabled" is so vague to be useless in diagnosing a computer virus infection. Would you tell your Doctor, "some other stuffs in my body also have like some kind of pain"?

Why do you think it is a trojan, when you admit that you have no idea what a trojan is? "Well I guess it's trojan. I dont know wtf trojan is"

"to show that it's 'active' or somethin like that" means nothing. Something like what?

Anyway, without any better specific information about your problem, perhaps the "shotgun" solution above will cure your problem.

    Good luck.

Firstly, do you mean a usb flash drive? l don't know what a flash disk is. lf it's a usb flash or some sort of disk that can be disconnected, then do so. Lost info is better than a wrecked system.

Secondly, if you still have access to the internet search for Spybot Search and Destroy, download it and set it to work (it's free).

lf those don't work then, in my worthless opinion, you're stuck with system recovery. That will hopefully get your computer working again but unless you can back up your files, you're going to end up with a pristine OS on your comp but no files or any other data that you've added since you bought the comp.

l hope someone can come up with some less cataclysmic options. l'm no expert but as they say, been there, done that, got the T-shirt etc. Good luck.

feels like consumer blunders to me. i don't comprehend why all people might hack somebody's e mail account to deliver a duplicate of an e mail to you. comparable is going for an outbreak.. Your husbands friends in all probability did it via twist of fate. i don't see what the great deal is, till it grew to become into something which you weren't think to work out.
