ideas to increase profit from real estate sale?

We have just gotten an offer to buy our home after more than 14 months on the market. We've gotten a best and final offer from our buyer that is about $10,000-$15,000 less than where we'd like to be. Does anyone have any creative ideas about how to increase our profit without raising the price -- like ask our realtor to lower his commission, etc. Thanks!

    If you have not accepted the offer yet, you can review you commission agreement with the Realtor. You can offer to sell items like curtains, furniture, refrigerator (if not included in the deal) etc to the potential buyer.

    You are trying to change the conditions of a deal when in reality you want more for your home. You may have to wait longer if you are not happy with the final offer.

    You could ask your Realtor to lower their commission or ask them if they will take it in payments over the next 6 to 12 months. This will allow you to avoid the hit all at once.

    If you don't have to have the cash now, search the net for "Full Price Offer" and realty. Or better yet, e-mail me. I don't want to violate Yahoo! rules with an ad but there are ways to make more...
