Yes, four years ago. They took several things including a TV set, microwave, my vacuum cleaner, emptied the freezer, a gas grill, etc.

Never have I felt so violated, knowing that strangers broke in and simply helped themselves to belongings that I've worked so hard for. It's something that dulls itself with time but no, I'll never get over it. If anything, it's taught me to make it much harder for future thieves to get in.

yes. the first place where I paid the rent was robbed in the first few days I lived there. They forced the transom over the door and crawled thru. I didn't have much to take. In a strange twist of fate, some 15 or so years later, I happened to meet someone who knew who did it.

Yes I have.At first I thought my house was just trashed by some one but we later discovered that they took my bank details and withdrew $6000 when I got my bank statement. It's still under police investigation.I haven't gotten over it completely as the police are sure that it's some body I know and that's the part I can't completely get over.

When I was a child we lived in the western suburbs of Sydney, & every single time we went away to visit with family we were robbed! From minor stuff through to the theives hiring a removalist & emptying the entire house. They would even steal food out of the freezer. I remember losing the only bike I had ever owned, & stuff my brother had sent my mum from overseas (he was in the navy). We suffered very much from it as my father died when I was 10, & my mum struggled to keep us. So starting from scratch was difficult.

Yes. They took away my refuse bin. It was my favourite refuse bin. It was a light shade of blue with two dents that looked like dimples and a deep gash that looked like a smile. I shed a tear or two but I have since gotten over it.
