Equal rights for gays, not "special rights". They were born gay and they want to have the right to marry that heterosexuals have. That is not a special right that heterosexuals don't have. It is an equal right.
And don't give me that being gay is a choice. If being gay was a choice that came from living in a certain type of environment then how do you explain Ronald Reagan's son, Newt Gingrish's sister, Terry Randalls (anti-abortion activist) daughter, Alan Keyes daughter, and Dick Cheney's daughter all being gay? You'd think with all those conservative "family values" they'd have nothing but straight children.
How do you explain the fact that John Money, quack psychologist, thought he could force a boy to grow up as a girl by treating him like a girl?

I wish I knew. Those on the right, especially the religious right, are so determined to rid the United States of America of gays and lesbians because of the Gay Agenda... yet they never tell us what that agenda is. I, myself, think it could be... acceptance?

Well, I'm straight, but I have a lot of gay friends. From what I understand, their agenda consists of getting up in the morning, usually going to the gym, coming back home, showering, getting ready for work, maybe eating some kind of breakfast, going to work, going out with friends, coming home and going to sleep.
That's my understanding of the homosexual agenda.

Some would say a repeal of the laws of nature.
But I have enough to worry about with my own family.

To become a "protected class" Constitutionally. Like race, religion, disability.
Not content to have the same Constitutional protections us ordinary sexual beings have, homosexuals somehow think they are special.
Source(s): It isn't really about acceptance. People are accepted on the basis of how they present themselves. No amount of legislation is going to give people a positive self image if they lack one. - Anonymous1 decade ago
Fear, don't you listen to the republicans? To destroy America, to destroy the family values we hold so dear. To destroy our children, our churches, our minds. Well the mind part is obviously working with some people. I think their agenda is to be treated as the same as the rest of the citizens of this country. God forbid.

I don't know. I am just tired of people wanting special treatment because they are gay.
When will we be having a 'Straight Pride' parade?? I want to sign up.
