Where can I rent a car @ age 19?
I need to rent a car (pick-up in Indiana and drop-off in New York or Connecticut.) I'm willing to pay a reasonable surcharge. Where can I rent from?

Unless you are in the military, have a government job, or live in New York state, you have to be at least 21 to rent a car. New York state will allow you to rent a car with a $110 surcharge per day for renters 18-24 years of age. If you are in the military or have a government job with FEMA or the US Postal Dept, you can rent a rental car at the age of 18 with a Government travel or purchase order.

No 21 is the age limit, military may have exceptions. And at 21 you have to pay an underage fee which ranges from 25-40 dollars a day.

Im 19 too, and it is soooooo hard to find a place that will let you rent!!! All I can tell you is that you should call around and just ask! Usually you have to be 21 I think......my husband was 21 and they let him, but I dont think he was aloud to even put my name in it becuase I was only 18.
