What would be the best way for the Senate in Louisiana to get kids to stop wearing baggy pants?

Does it rreally require a law. Are these men using their heads. What would you do if you were in the Senate.

Start wearing baggy pants, and get their parents to wear them too.

This is a parent and school district issue. After all I have seen in Louisiana, they have "baggier" pants to tighten up that this! This is, however, NOT a Louisiana issue alone. How a person dresses is a direct reflection on what they think about society. When I taught high school we had a dress code and the principal was constantly addressing the issue of shirts and pants. I finally sat him down and explained that he was concerned about the wrong side of these kids. He needed to be working on the inside - the hearts and minds. The kids will dress more appropriately if they feel great about themselves and about society. If everyone who reads this, goes out and does one thing today that makes life better for someone, the world has become a better place because of them. One day at a time - one person at a time. We build the kind of world we want to live in. It's like buying a house. This one happens to be used so we need to do some renovating. Everyone make a difference today...Louisiana - hold the parents accountable for the actions of their kids. That will put a halt to a LOT of this mess!

There used to be dress codes in schools. That should be on the top of the list as a no-no. I can't understand these kids wanting to run around with their pants falling down all the time anyway. Maybe they should have someone follow a few of them around with a camera so they can see the reactions of the people behind them. That could be very funny and show them its really not cool. They are giving people a good laugh. Why do parents let them out of the house like that?

I think that kids should be allowed to dress how they want. How you dress is not only for covering your body, but it can also be a personal expression. It can show what you believe in. A lot can be said about those that dress this way. Baggy pants could mean that they have loose beliefs on life. Who knows. Either way, the government shouldn't even interfere with the lives of our children in this fashion. The government is supposed to be by the people, of the people, and for the people.

They need to convince the kids that it is a tacky look and has been done to death. No legislation can do that.

I would say. "why are we wasting tax payer money even talking about this?"
