How do you tell your boyfriend that his breath stinks?

there is no subtle way to do this...just be open and honest...tell him that you care about him but you have to let him know that his breath is really bad and it is a turn off. Let him know that you don't mean to hurt him, you just thought he would rather know. Hard one...good luck.

There is no way to be subtle about this. You just have to be honest, but kind.

"Honey, you know I really like you, but I have to tell you something that may sound rude - please understand I'm only telling you so that we can fix it and move forward with the relationship. You may not notice it, but you have really bad breath. It would really help if you tried brushing twice a day, flossing every night, using a tongue scraper (not that weird, a lot of people do, and it gets at the source of bad breath), and chewing gum or mints after every meal. It would make a big difference to me if you tried this, and would let me enjoy your kisses more. I really don't want to lose you or get in a fight over such a trivial thing, but it would really make a big difference."

Everybody else said some good stuff, so I'll only add one more thing. If the boy has a juicy mouth, see if you can get him off milk and chocolate for a while. Both of these things make the mouth salivate, so if he backs off either substance for a while things should improve long term. Tic tacs are a temporary solution, as you and I know.

Be straight out and say it. Don't b like ur breat smells worse than a rotting whale just use small words like. Uuum... Your breath kinda smells weird maybe you should brush more... If he's sensitive, being brutal will crush his self consiousness. Delicacy is key. If he still doesn't get it go 4 the whale line!

If his breath smells that bad then he probably doesn't brush. And if he doesn't brush then the chances are he doesn't floss either. That's some food for thought.

How do you tell him? IMHO, I would just tell him straight forward. There is no other way.

Then once you keep doing that then he will soon relize that u are trying to hint out that his breathe stinks! lol...i dont kno if that is soo realistic. It depends if you are a very brave or quiet person...so u dont have to do this obviously..lol well good luck!

If i were you i would tell him the truth juss b- like baby,i love you and dont take this personel but when you kiss me i dont like it because your breathe has like an after taste thats not so hot so ........,can you do me a favor and dont give me such big sloppy wet kisses no offense

try and be honest

if thats really too hard then tell him that your mouth produces over 50 000 bacteria each day. tell him that you just discovered this fact and that you will be brushing extra hard. say that he should too cos now you're paranoid with mouth germs.

It doesn't matter how sweet you are when you tell someone something bad that's personal. Best just to tell him straight..."Hon...I love you but your breath smells like monkey butt."

Ask him what he has been eating to make his breath so foul.

or say that he might have a gum disease. I bet he will get the message.
