What is the best motorcycle seat pad?
Getting ready to do my first Iron Butt Saddle Sore 1000 ride, looking for something to decrease the "monkey butt" from a 1000 mile ride!
I am riding a Triumph Sprint ST - excellent sport tourer, but the Corbin Gunfighter seat is only about a 400 miler. I love the seat for most of my riding, but want to add some comfort for the occasional long haul.

I have used the gell type and really like them also have talked to people who have used the aiar type and they like them. If any friends have one see if you can borrow it and try it out. This like many things is personal preference.

I don't know what type bike you are riding, but I found it cheaper to purchase a touring seat for my Sportster than to have the pads inserted in the stock seat. The touring seat is much wider and more comfortable than the stock seat even with the pads. They wanted to charge me for two pads and the installation.
