Software Problems -What could be the likely cause?

I have down loaded the softwares for several phones samsung, Motorola, nokia to my computer(different times )but whenever i try to synchronize the phones using a usb cable it is saying unable to connect. Yet it is charging the phones. Please the latest one is a Motorola A1200.

    Unless you have the software designed to work with the cable and phone you have then it isn't going to work. You can't just use a universal USB cable with "most" brands of phones, they will just reject it or the software won't detect the phone.

    Also as a side note, with Motorola, their phones only work with data cables & software designed for the phone in question, the phone itself will reject both cables and software not made to work with it, they started using that technology with the V60 and have only made it better over time.

    The software and cable came with the phones? That is quite unusual, I've been in the Cell Phone Industry for nearly 4Yrs and have never seen Moto Phones come with Software & USB Cable. Anyway, if they are Moto Certified and still not working then I'm lost because I've never had an issue with Moto's Software & Cables before.

    Also as a side note, you first said "I have down loaded the softwares for several phones" Now your saying that the software came with the phones...
