Women only please.?
I had a question that is graphic and only for women. I was wondering if anyone else notices vaginal bleeding only on one side of the tampon when it is not fully soaked. I am wondering if something is wrong that I need to tell my GYNO at my appointment next week or if it is normal. Please be informative. I am not on birth control.
I refuse to use pads....

yes , I have had this happen, what it is , is that the tampond side that is closest to the actual (i don't know what it's called ) spout inside of you will fill up first. and then slowly cover all of the tampon. There is nothing to worry about. But if it makes you fill more at ease to ask you Dr. then by all means ask so that you won't worry about it,

Its normal. Not to worry, its because you are blocking where the blood is coming from, right, so the blood will leak from somewhere and not always evenly. You might also be looking at the tampon before it is full, I mean, before it is due to come out. Leave it in for 4 to 6 hours on the 2nd or 3rd day, where your bleeding is heaviest, you'll see, it will be full. It just means it is not full of blood yet, its ok to take it out when its not full, maybe you need touse a smaller one, mini or regular. Not to worry. :)

Absolutely normal. Sometimes it just sits inside funny and the blood runs down one side. If your tampons leak try a different brand. No worries!

I have that too, I don't think you have anything to worry about, it is probably just the way your uterus wall is shedding, maybe one side is shedding more than the other, but I do not see a problem

That happens when you don't have it placed correctly. You have it inserted to one side so that the blood hits one side.
When you insert it, pull slightly straight down while checking the position with your finger. Then you can be sure it is positioned properly.

well, there is not right way to bleed, sweetie. you probably just had an uneven flow or something. if you are truly concerned or notice a pattern that seems odd to you about ANYTHING relating to your vagina or menstrual cycle, talk to you OBGYN without hesitation. thats what they are there for :).
good luck to you!

this happens to me, too. i never really thought much of it, to be honest with you. i have routine annual exams, and my doctor has never found anything abnormal. i'll be interested to see what other answerers say.
