Printer problems, what does this mean?
Found new hardware wizard
problem installing
hp 1200 series
and error occured during installation of the device
the handle is invalid
I have a HP all-in-one printer. I know that the printer is connected to the computer some how becasue the scanner is working fine. But I can not get it to print! I have tried all the usually stuff, uninstall and redo, trouble shoot from computer and HP web site, changed the USB location. I am so lost!
Thank you all for your help but I have already done everyting that the top three of you have said. Thats the problem.

unhook the printer
Un-install the driver
restart the computer
Install the driver (leaving the printer unhooked)
Only plug the printer back in at the point of installation when you are advised to.

you most likely need to use the CD that came with it to install proper drivers for everything. if you lost it or cannot find look on HP's site they usually have the latest drivers there.

You can also go to hp.com and download the driver if you feel that the driver on the CD is corrupted.
