Belly button pain when "stretching"?

The past 2 mornings when I woke up and did some stretching in bed I get a pain around my belly button, also when I stretch throughout the day it hurts too. I know for certain it is not appendix related, mine was rmoved over 14 years ago. Any one have an idea of what could be wrong?

Update:

no swelling in the belly button area, it almost feels like a tugging at the top of my belly button.

could be a "para umbilical hernia" not sure about the spelling, its common in children but could happen to adults check for swelling in your belly button, also if it starts to pertrude or become an "outtie"

It hardly hurts, but don't worry about the pain. If you really want the piercing, get it. The pain will be over in a few days or weeks, and the piercing can last for years. Compared to a lobe piercing, i'd say it hurts about the same, if not a bit more.

Not trying to make light of the situation, but it sounds like it could be gas.

Try taking some gas X before you make an appointment to see the doc.

You'd better see a doctor. This happened to the significant other. It was a hernia.
