ASVAB won't effect bonus. The only way it will effect bonus is if you don't qualify for any ot eh Criticle MOSes that get them.

If you take it again, you will get your new score. I was pissed off at my first score and took it again and got a better score. I didn't need it, I got an 84 the first time, but I hadn't been in school for 4yrs and technically never made it past the 10th grade. I took it again and got a 91 however. I was hoping for over 95, but eh. 91 is at least in the 90s.

Yes, the ASVAB is timed and you can't use a calculator. The test isn't too bad but that depends on your test taking skills and general knowledge of various subjects. I recommend getting one of these prep books

It can make a big difference in how well you do since you'll know exactly what to expect on the test. The higher your score, the more opportunities you'll have and the better jobs you can qualify for so don't take the test lightly just because some people say it's easy. There's a big difference between doing okay and doing extremely well.

The prep/study book will get you used to the timing of the test so you know how long to spend on each question and get used to the time pressure you'll be under. They give you everything you need to know to do well. Good luck!

The US Army has the lowest ASVAB acceptance level of 31. You did not meet the Air Force and the Navy, 36 and 35 minimums.

If your didn't take advanced courses in High School such as Physics and Trigonometry, your at a disadvantage.

Serve your country well. It's an noble choice as a career. Good Luck.

If you only got a 34 on your ASVAB how can you possibly think you would ever be able to get through college. The ASVAB is not rocket science. Take the test again and this time pay attention.

no, your ASVAB score will not preclude you from taking advantage of the GI Bill. what it WILL, do however, is limit the MOSs you can have, and that is what determines what kind of bonus you can be eligible for.

If you take it again, and get lower.. that's the score they take, the most recent one, not the highest.

Bonuses and tuition reimbursement programs are generally based on what MOS you enlist or reenlist in. Your ASVAB score determines what MOS you are eligible for.

How do you get a 34 on the ASVAB? I'm pretty sure you get 25 just for writing your own name.

34! SHEESH!!! Hope you can do more than that in push-ups!!! I do believe they take the better score, but you won't qualify for any high tech MOS' like Military Intelligence or Aviation.
