Predictions for how good the detroit lions offense will be in "07"?

Last year it was already a top offense in terms of passing yards. Kitna, however, blows too many games for them by throwing a late INT. Kevin Jones in injury prone, Tatum Bell is fumble prone (plus running for the Broncos makes anyone look good). They should be better than last year but I think Mike Furrey will have an even better season this year possibly the highest receptions or yards in the league since defense will be worrying about Roy Williams and Clavin Johnson in the slot. They still dont have a good tight end. They will have a top 3-5 ranked passing game, a middle to low ranked running game. They should end up with around 4-8 wins depending on how their defense plays and how many leads they give up.

Having Calvin Johnson will improve things , but so what? They will finish 3-13. The Ford family doesnt care about the Detriot Lions. Matt Millen has the safest job in America. Put the crapest team on the field, finish in the bottom 5 teams in the NFL every year and just keep cashing those checks. Best thing that could ever happen to the Detriot Lions is to be sold and the new owners who may actually care about the teams performance FIRE MATT MILLEN.

two things will hold their offense back

1. Offensive line. Can they open holes for the RBs, and even more importantly, can they protect Kitna?

2. Kitna just isn't that good. He is adequate AT BEST. He is one of the worst starting QBs in the league.

and keep in mind that with the exception of Calvin Johnson, all these additions you mention are really not a big deal. Bell, Duckett, and Robinson are B-grade average players at best.

If Matt Millen is still running the show, they'll still suck. The team isn't motivated to play well under him, and it's shown regardless of the players' talent. Though Calvin Johnson will help...
