If a person who spends money on a debit card, or?

takes out a loan is ultimately responsible for paying the debt, and responsible for they themself having to work longer hours to pay the debt, why are democrats always blamed for having to raise taxes to pay for republican spending habits?

Update:

information_police, if you can even consider that strategy as logical, or reasonable, i don't have to ask you who you voted for President in the last election.

    Dude, where have you been

It is the Democrats that raise taxes to fund their own programs,

Republicans cut spending to reduce taxes.

Each has it's advantages and disadvantages but you sort of

need to rotate the crystal ball to see either.

I think that what you are complaining about is the amount

of money that the Iraq war has cost and antcipating that

if a Democrat is elected they will have to raise taxes to

pay for this and that is a valid arguement

You talk about the Republican spending habits but I would

like to remind you that the latest budget for Iraq contained

several billions of pork, this pork was in there to fund

some of the Democrats pet projects.

The downside to any of the methods in use is

Tax and Spend -- The tax never goes away, all temporary

    taxes are made permanent

Spend and cut -- Programs of social value have less money

    to operate

So Democrats get blamed for raising the taxes and the

    Republicans get blamed for spending

I am an Independent conservative but I prefer the Republican

method rather that born free taxed to death

i have self belief that persons spend a large purchase extra money using a debit card. the reason I say it really is because a debit card will be cancelled if stolen, which makes you sense extra possibility-free about carrying it. money on the different hand can't be cancelled as quickly because it really is lengthy previous it really is lengthy previous. human beings like no longer having income case of dropping it or getting it stolen. countless the time the reason human beings spend extra money on a debit card is because at the same time as they spend it they tell themselves it really is not any enormous deal I actually have money contained in the commercial organisation, yet once you've money you imagine two times.

    Imagine this scenario.

You don't like what your spouse spends money on and you don't want to sound mean by insisting they change their purchasing habits.

So, you start charging a ton of stuff on credit cards and build up a huge debt. Your monthy minimum payment on your charge cards get so high that the credit card company cuts off your purchasing ability. Now, your spouse can no longer buy the things you don't like.

THAT, my friend, is the cynical strategy behind the conservatives push to drive up the national debt. The only way they can see to force the cutting of social programs is to push the governemnt to the edge of bankruptcy so those programs they do not like have to be eliminated.

EDIT: JJ, since I refered to it as a "cynical strategy" I thought I was being clear that it was not a strategy that I, myself, find logical, reponsible or moral. Let me assure you, it is not something I endorse, but it IS the strategy being used by the right wing in control of this country.
