Could it be that our General on the ground knows more than the Bush haters, even as the Democrats try to pretend that retreat is an option and that the whole thing is a civil war in which we are unwelcome?

We can slaughter terrorists and insurgents until we run out of bullets. But it will not stop, they'll just breed more of them. The problem runs deeper than a military solution, that's what you guys are missing. Terrorism can only exist within a poplulation which tolerates it if not opensly supports it. Until we decide to put down the machismo and look deep and hard at why terroism exists at all, well then your grandkids will make excellent soldiers.
