What is next?

Considering the disease that is now within the United States brought by those that are illegal - I think such is what very well may get the attention of those that can't see why enforcement is needed.

States far from the border are now having to deal with diseases that were done away with long ago within this country - but now are having to deal with them again in strains that are not treatable with known medications - such as TB.

There is a disease that is common to south American countries where something that I heard described as "worm like" on a tv news show is now showing up within the brains of Americans which comes from exposure to people that have the disease - no treatment known.

The problems of illegal immigration and what they bring into this country needs to be looked past the cheap, undercutting wages that they bring to corporate America and lazy Americans that can't clean their own homes of cut their own grass.

There are reasons that people have to be able to pass medical test before they come into this country. With many areas now facing outbreaks - news shows and newspapers now starting to discuss such - maybe the reality of such will get those that want to turn a blind eye to the illegal problem to open their eyes. Or will it take them being exposed to such and finding out the reality of these diseases to get them to finally understand why there are laws in place.......

Unfortunately what's next is most likely another amnesty,it's complete BS but that's what is coming. The fact is that for 20 years the govt has not only been turning a blind eye to the illegal immigration problem,they have been almost endorsing it with their half hearted efforts at what they laughingly call border control. If they thought they could have gotten away with it I'm sure they would have just eliminated immigration control. And the reason is simple,their rich friends are tired of having to pay a decent wage,they were barely doing that,but to them it was still too much. They want cheap labor to increase profits and the way to do that is to bring in a huge labor pool ready to work for paupers wages and live like animals,with no complaints. Hell they don't even hide it,they come right out and say it,cheap labor is part of the impetus for those in business who want amnesty.

The middle class was just getting too greedy in the eyes of business,after all these are the same people who would testify how a miniscule increase in the minimum wage would destroy competitiveness,then when they were done testifying to stop congress from raising the minimum wage they would go out to the airport get in their 40 million dollar gulfstream and go home. While I haven't made minimum wage since 1985 that's not the point,the point is this is driven by greed,and in America greed always wins.

THe pity strategy might actually work it there wasn't so much hate and anger . Desecrating our flag, starting a riot, Sending hate message like "Why all whites are racist", or accusing some one of being closed minded and stupid because of differing opinion. These kinf of things doesn't help me feel sorry for anyone.

I find it funny someone can state that an opinion is definetely wrong, and then tell the other person he/she should be open minded. I think that said person should open a book and find out what open minded means.

Before 1986 you could get a social security just by going to the social security administration an apply for it. in the 70s they even give you the green card just by applying, no need of getting married or any of that crap.

Illegals from Mexico know exactly what they are doing and know that they can get away with doing it. Everyone needs to get in contact with their government officials and tell them they have had enough and they are tired of them looking the other way. Protest anyway that you can ! They can be stopped but the government doesn't want to

I understand completely wanting a better life for ones family, but then, why don't all these people who are here illegally go home and protest to their own government and try to make changes for a better life in their own country? Why do they think they have the right to come here and make their DEMANDS?

I totally concur, with what you have said. I know my grandparents came to this country and they did it the proper way. They filled out their paper work and did all that they needed to to become citizens of our country. That's why it makes me so crazy to see people just slipping across the boarder any which way they can, and see them break our laws to do it. And then I hear them screaming about their rights, as far as I'm concerned they have no rights here, except to go back to where they came from and try and do it the right way. Then you can talk about your rights, as then you will have some. Tilt, you've done it wrong, game over! Go home and try it again, only this time fill out your paper work, maybe then you'll have some rights to speak of.

They were proud to become real and true Americans in every sense of the word, it mattered to them to do things the proper way. I'm totally glad that they cared enough to do so. They were from Switzerland. They were hard working, honest people that were proud to do it the right way.

Do you mean Foreign immigrants from around the globe or Latinos immigrants? Who the hell build the Statue of Liberty? How help rebuilt New Orleans from disaster from Katrina? How help clean the damage of the World Trade Center in NY City? How many U.S.Soldiers who are immigrants died the War in Iraq & Afghanistan? Well I will tell you who..........IMMIGRANTS!!! Better has nothing to do with it. That I let my kids take food out of the refrigerator but don't let the entire city eat from our kitchen doesn't mean my kids are 'better', only that the food in our kitchen is ours, and we need it ourselves.
