I've noticed people in Europe are calling we Americans babies cuz of our gas prices..see details below?
Do they not realize that we, in general, have so much further commutes than they do? ONE of our states is about the size of ONE of their countries!! My husband drives 600 miles per week (which is equal to 965 kilometers!)...just for work! Add another 108 if he works Saturday too!!
Oh yes, I forgot about the lunch HOURS...here, we're lucky if we get 30 minutes....How about maternity leave? A lot of European countries get a year or more with pay!! We get what...6-12 weeks withOUT pay!! How many of them HAVE to work more than 40 hours a week too? pffft So before they call us babies they should look at the big picture
They're complaining because their gas works out to anywhere of 7-10 dollars a gallon in their currency...

I completely agree. I do realize that they've had high priced gas for a long time but I am sure they have higher paying jobs that compensate for the cost of living.
It's a little close minded for them to assume that our country can withstand rising gas prices when they have no idea how we live and how much gas we use. Our country is very different from theirs.

Good point.
Right now, I am spending about $150 per week on gas. I am not looking forward to $4/gallon, as is being forecasted for summer.

and they get 2 hour lunches and an average of 4 weeks off!
we are lucky if we take or GET 1 week off! and lunch!!!??? what's lunch I don't take one!
