Why is there no 13th floor?

Question

I know it's "unlucky", but to who?  Are we all really that superstitios?  Is it that we don't want to risk being wrong about the number 13?  What's the worst that could happen?

unlucky # 13! there is a old folklore that if a dog lays with all four feet in the air that someone close to you will die within 48 hrs,! happened to me twice! i promise I'm not warped or whacked! freaky huh? coincidence ??? Would'nt floor 14 still be 13th?

My building does have a 13th floor.  I've worked there a couple of times, and nothing happened to me.  It's all in people's head.

Totally based on superstition. It's not as prevalent today as many high rise buildings do now contain floors numbered 13.

Because it is considered a bad luck number and people are sooooo superstitious they don't want to take the chance and jinx themselves.

Businesses don't want to deal with people who find it unlucky and don't want to make special changes if someone doesn't want to work, visit, or reside on the floor.

because of the suspicion  of the numbers evil attributes they think that it will bring evil to that floor and building
