My friend got in to an auto accident wensday she is o.k but?
she did not have her licence or insurance and just bought the car and its not even in her name. She said the cop did not tow her car or give her a ticket he just got her info she did have a permit. the other driver does have insurance she was asking me what is going to happen but I dont know what is going to happen that never happen to me. the accident was not serious the other person involved is ok but there cars were dented in the front . she lives in california

Same thing happened to me, the officer took the info. and about a month or so later I got the tickets in the mail...BUt whose fault was it? In my case it was the other driver, she rear ended me on the freeway and I still got paid, they totalled my car and paid extra for the time off from work and the rental car. I went to court paid a fine for no insurance and improper plates...Good luck!

She will pay, out of pocket, for the damage to the other car. In CA not having insurance puts you at fault. If they know she has no license, there still may be a ticket coming by mail.
