Microsoft is beginning its "aquisition" of Yahoo? Say what?

This is odd.. I hope they don't kill off Answers. I am worried; are you?

Does anyone even search with Microsoft's search anyways?

    Microsoft Search has always been a disaster. In business you either create something yourself or you buy/steal it from elsewhere.

    Note that Microsoft is only CONSIDERING buying yahoo. Sometimes these stories are developed pre-maturely, as I'm sure they have considered buying a wide variety of companies.
