How many Christians pray in this way?

I am a Christian, and I say "stay away from the person who told you to pray that way."

Satan is not in you.

Christians that are obsessed with the devil are freaks.

There is such a thing called Ecumenism, which means, in its broadest meaning, initiatives aimed at worldwide religious unity. It is understood in this sense in the vision that advocates a greater shared spirituality across Christian, Jewish and Islamic faiths as part of its core beliefs.

Buddhism and Christianity can coexist.

I think that any Christian or church that spends more time talking about Satan and hell than studying the actual teaching of Christ is headed in the wrong direction. What you talk about, what you obsess over, tells a lot about what is in your heart. This is one reason I prefer to stay focused on Jesus.

I don’t know any Christians that pray like that. When I pray I simply talk to God. Sometimes I will read a favorite hymn or verse and contemplate the words in a prayerful manner. I never talk to Satan.

I believe the prayer reflects an extreme branch of Christians. I suggest you simply discard it (yes, I say this even though I am a Christian).

If you are satisfied with your Buddhism, but want to know more about Christianity, I would suggest simply opening a Bible, looking up Luke and John in the Table of Contents, and reading those two books. If you do that, you will have more knowledge than many who have thoughts about God but have never opened the book where we believe He has revealed Himself.

Then if you want to know more, you can attend a church and ask questions of a pastor.

To a certain extent. I say some of the things that are said in that prayer, but not as a whole. The best prayers come from the heart.

You should have found it disturbing. There are some that believe that the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross redeems mankind by covering their sin. Most of these beliefs come from John Calvin and not from Sacred Traditions. thus they are the teachings of men. The truth is that the blood of Jesus does not cover our sins but washes us of all sin. It is through repentance that we are forgiven and it is through His grace that we are transformed into new creatures, not needing a covering of our sin but being sanctified into righteousness and without sin so that we can be present with the father in heaven. there will be no sin in heaven, covered or otherwise.

This is common to Children of GOD (what most call Christians) who Learn how to Ascend up higher in the Spiritual Realm

The Spiritual Realm is a Strange Place.

It is Invisible (of course!) and what Jesus did on the Cross provides us with Invisible Weapons to use against an Invisible Enemy!

(wow, talk about a movie script!) O.K.

What Jesus did mostly on the Cross is Invisible to us.

But, we Believe it and it works BECAUSE satan is invisible and satan is REAL.

Air is real and you cannot see it either.

So there.

The Blood of Jesus applied to you and your family will protect you from invisible enemys.

The prayer appears to be directed toward Satan, as he was the one addressed in it. I do not see the love of Jesus in it. Christians do not address their prayers to anyone other than God in Jesus name. No other prayer will be acknowledged.

The Scriptures warn us about slandering even Satan.

Christianity is about love:

Loving God with all your heat, soul, mind, and strength,

Loving your neighbor as yourself, and

Loving one-another as Jesus loved us.

When we do that . . .when we seek to serve others . . . when we cease to put ourselves first . . . then we achieve the peace that surpasses all understanding and that peace radiates for others to see.

We can only achieve that with a personal relationship with the Lord. Christians do not dislike you because you are not Christian. They will love you no matter what.

I pray that you will come to have a relationship with the Lord in your lifetime. I also pray that you come to have a relationship with a person who also has a relationship with the Lord.

I pray only good things for you. A blessing is simply a good thing that happens to you and I pray that for you. Holy, simply means set apart or distinct. I pray for you in God's holy name.

i wouldnt go that far, but it is a prayer. what the sis or bro was trying to say is that u must turn from walking satans way and honestly turn ur life to christ. u can do it in ur own words, not that prayer that someone sent u. but u have to mean it when u do ask jesus into ur heart.

I think he/she was trying to exorcise you. I don't know why people use these aggressive conversion tactics; they never work! They just make people either frightened or defensive. As a Christian, I'm sorry you had to go through that. We are not all firer and brimstone, but the loudest ones usually are.

A prayer to Jesus will not work without faith in Him. You can repeat all the prayers you want, but it is only words.
