Is the honey bee colony collapse disorder a seriously bad thing?

It seems kind of scary!

Most definitely. Without honey bees to pollinate, many crops would have to be hand pollinate. That would add many dollars to the cost of production, and the food products that come from those crops.

Hopefully, the collapse can be stopped, or a substitute insect can be discovered and bred in quantities.

This is a hugh main issue for vegetation.Hopefully it's going to proper itself and the bees will come again well as ever.If no longer then it's going to be a real problem subsequent or the following developing season.I have plenty of clover and feature noticeable might be four bees all yr to this point.I actually have a lawn and plenty of plant life so its no longer a desert right here simply no bees.I even have noticeable few wasps, yellowjackets, bumble bees which can be continually considerable right here.Yes I believe we must fear. Now if handiest the darn ticks and fleas might disappear!

Farmers depend on bees to pollinate their crops so with 30% of just California's bees dead I'd say it is a catastrophe.

Scarier, yet, is that 70% of Texas' and some other states eastward's bees are dead or dying.

Hello, My Honey, Goodbye, My Honey. Watch the price of that item soar.

It is a serious matter because they help pollinate flowering plants that make food if they aren't around to do that no food from those plants. Means less food and prices go up on alot of food items.
