Sounds like you may have updated too fast to SP2. It is very important to update all of SP1 before going to SP2.

To resolve this issue you will need to log in SAFE MODE and go to Add/Remove Programs.

To get to Safe Mode restart the computer and keep pressing F8 and there will be a new screen with a list of options. Select Safe Mode and then the Admin Account.

After there go to Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and scroll down to the bottom where you are going to see Windows XP SP2. Click Remove.

The computer will warn you that there will be certain programs that may be depending on that software.

Just remove it anyway. Then restart.

You will see a screen saying changing configuration.

Then you will go back to your normal desktop.

Log onto XP Update and finish the remaining SP1 updates before you perform your SP2 Updates.

    Good Luck!

I suggest you reformat it right away because the frequent restarting of your computer without properly shutting it down might cause a serious system error. But if you can't afford that or if you you have some important files that still in your HDD, try to go into safe mode by pressing F8 before the the window loads and try to troubleshoot.

After you entered in safe mode scan your computer for viruses, sometimes virus are cause of it. Your second choice is: I assumed you have a back-up profile of your computer, it is the saved configuration of your system and you can select it then. Third is get the copy of your O.S and make it run, after the windows appear select the Install Windows Xp, in here your not installing a fresh copy of your O.S in your HDD your just repairing it by means of reconfiguring to its original settings. There I hope it could help.

gilmour_waters - The working structures are put in on separate disk partitions so the conflicting command instantaneous parameters does no longer exist. The boot loader software provides a catalogue of the available bootable partitions from which the consumer can decide for. SIVAKUMAR - not sure if what the right project is yet i'm guessing you will have a driving force or provider project it somewhat is inflicting the pc to panic. i do no longer bear in mind a sturdy reference yet i think Microsoft replaced XP to no longer bypass to the classic Blue reveal Of dying (BSOD) in desire of only rebooting the equipment. yet another threat could be a plague or some sort of secret agent ware, yet given which you're saying the "purchasers" are not even offered, I doubt that it's going to be this. See in case you could boot right into a secure mode and consider to be certain if the form supervisor has any info that can help in troubleshooting.
