Why doesn't my computer have sound?
My brother gave me an old ccomputer, and when I first hooked it up it had sound now there is nothing. I thought it was the speakers so I bought new ones, but still no sound.
Is there some thing I can do at home to try and fix it?

Make sure the speakers are hooked up to the correct ports in the back of your cpu. Just change them back and forth until you hear sound. That's all it is

i had the same problem. it depends on which type of computer you have. I would suggest going to your computer makers website, like i went to compaq.com. after that, see if the site has any downloads for sound for your particular model. if that doesn't work, email your computer provider and ask them.

to your lower right you should have the volume icon, left click, if there is a check if mute, then remove
- also, right click on the volume icon again, then it will bring another volume screen
then just higher each volume. hope this helps.
