What kind of bird is this?
It is all black, has a yellow "V" on the wings shoulder area. It has a beautiful song with a couple different sounds. I live in Vermont. It's eating from my feeder of sunflower seeds, millet, & small brown round seeds. It's about 6-8" long from beak to tail feathers. Thanks.
There is NO red. I thought black bird family or maybe oriole but I can't find any pics of this bird.

I am guessing it was a Red-winged Blackbird, but the wing was placed so only the yellow on the wing and not the red was showing. There is no other blackbird found in that area with JUST yellow on the wing and all black. See photo below:

Did you have to notice if there was any red on the wings too? Sound like something from the Black Bird family. If you have a picture of it I may be able to identify it for you.
