Should you store coffee beans and ground coffee in the fridge or the freezer?
We've been storing them in the freezer but just heard from a friend that they use the fridge. Coffee needs to be perfect :-)

As one who works with coffee, neither a chiller nor freezer is advised on. Keep them in a cool dry place, unless your coffee is already preportioned according to required use. The reason for this is because after it has been taken out from either the chiller of freezer, water vapor would start forming. And if you need to grind them further, then would grinder blades would rust due to the water.
At the same time, if coffee is not kept in an air-tight container, it easily absorbs the smell of strong smelling food...
Advised to buy portions of coffee in a reasonable amount, preferably a weeks supply before the next.
Making coffee the right way is another thing to think about.
Happy brewing.

You may refrigerate, or, if the coffee is to be stored a long time, use the freezer. Neither will change the flavor of your coffee. What makes coffee bad is if it's stored on the shelf too long. The oils in the coffee can get rancid and it will taste awful. Better to make a habit of storing all coffee in fridge or freezer.

The fridge should be fine for 2 or 3 weeks... unless of course you are storing something else in with the coffee...like a little weed !!!

Niether of them because it will spoil the taste of the coffee. If you put it in the fridge, the tase will be less strong nor less the taste you desire. But the smell of the coffee will be less. But if you put it in the freezer, the smell will be lost but the taste will be less than in the fridge.
I suggest that it will be kept in room temperature to sustain or improve the smell and taste of the coffee.

Since coffee needs to be perfect, you shouldn't even be storing them up.They should be used as soon as they're grounded. If you have them in filter, the maximum time they can last would also be abt 45mins.If you do need to store ur coffee, have them stored in cool dry places.Away from any light or damp places;>
