Whooooooop!!!! HOW 'BOUT THEM SPURS LAST NIGHT!!! Now that they've proven that they can beat the Suns...
...don't you think they have a pretty good chance at winning the chip? Why have i been hearing the past couple of days that the Spurs will never get passed the Suns?!?!?! I mean, back in the 2004-05 season when they won the Chip, when they played the Suns they beat them 4-0!!!! And the teams pretty much have the same players (not to mention that the Spurs have gained Michael Finley!)
Sorry guyz, i was just informed that in the 04-05 season the Spurs beat the Suns in the playoffs 4-1 not 4-0, not that it makes a huge difference...

The Spurs didn't have to prove anything. They have been beating the Phoenix Suns regularly.
on 2004-2005 they beat the Suns 4-1 not 4-0.
What people are saying that the suns will never get passed the spurs, not vice versa.
The Suns are out there tryin to prove that they can win with their style on the playoffs.

After all the Spurs whining and crying to the officials in game one, you can expect the Suns to come out and be ready to light a fire fight in game two my friend.

This is why they need to re-seed after the first round. It's BS that the two best teams left in the NBA have to play each other so early in the playoffs. Everything after this series is going to be a letdown, basically.

that is only one game, although it was an excellent game. i think the series will go 7 where either team can beat the other one at any given moment. game 1 could have gone either way and once san antonio is home, phoenix could steal one there. this is a great series, and should be the west finals instead of semis. there are great matchups in this series, nash-parker, duncan-stoudemire, bowen-bell. too close to call
