Good compare/contrats essay topics?
For a class, I've got to write a c/c essay. I attempted compariong love and heartbreakbut not only was it a bit cheesy, it was pretty redundant. So, anyone out there have any good ideas on a fun, interesting topic to use? The paper is max 3 pages. I'd like to do something that's pretty much opposite but still a few similarites here and there...

You could use current events: pre- and post- 9-11 America, Virginia Tech, Iraq, Internet, American Idol, et cetera. That way you can have a pretty easy intro and conclusion by pointing out what/how these events shape the everyday activities and attitudes we participate in.

you could compare and contrast the effects on one's health that exercising vs. not exercising has. same with eating healthy and not eating healthy.
you could compare and contrast would it would be like to have a female president vs. all these male ones. take examples from other countries that have already had female leaders.
