why i the world did someone come up with that stupid label. i hear it all the time andusually when people use it they r not even using it correctly! who do u feel about the label and do u think anyone is emo and do u like to use that dumb word!!!

it actually originated from emocore which was a label for bands like minor threat who sang about self politics rather than political politics.From there emo stood for any band that had EMOtional lyrics

it just evolved, it's been around for some time now,
It started in the 80's as "new ro" or "new romantic"
but people cannot be emo....
