is there any way to block an e-mail without opening it? It isn't something I would even want to look at.?

It seems to be smutty and I have no idea why I'm starting to receive it. I'm afraid there may be a virus in it so I don't want to open it to stop it from coming.

if you are using yahoo, check the box next to the email in question and then click spam - it would delete it out of your inbox right away and you will never receive the email from the same person again

You can't get a virus by opening an email. If you download something (e.g. attachment) from an unwanted email, your computer might get infected though.
