    Favour it? What do you mean?

    No, I don't think the ghost's intelligence in weak. It's just Hamlet's father's ghost asking his son to revenge his murder. It is a convention from the Elizabethan revenge tragedy, inspired by the Roman playwright Seneca.

    One could not expect a ghost to have a strong intelligence. It's dead.
