Have you ever felt so lonesome you could cry?

When it all comes down on you, when you feel so low, so sad, weary, lost and alone.. even though you have love and family and friends all around.. but the weight just keeps pushing you down so low.. what do you do when you got the blues down in your shoes?

Update:

I think old Hank summed it up very well in his soulful lament.. "I'm so lonesome I could cry.."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJ-havB0ewI

Update 2:

There are many sad things going on right now, and I will deeply appreciate your sincere responses.. and respectfully request you refrain from inappropriate irony..

Update 3:

There's a world of difference between being alone and feeling alone.

Update 4:

I feel I must hasten to assure all that I am not alone, nor unloved. Equally I feel I must point out that while this is a question inspired by ongoing events not just in my life, but in many lives of persons near and ear to me, it nonetheless is a question asked in hopes of receiving some sincere, thoughtful responses.

Ultimately, it is only a question, not some kind of lament.

Thank you.

Update 5:

Heartbreak Hotel -- a classic! Now you're onto it... it's not the situation, it's the feeling!

oh baby, my love.. am hugging you so tight.. feel me.. feel my love.. my love will see you through!

    When times get rough

and your dreams just fall apart

and sometimes you feel that you can't go on

    Be strong, hold on..

For my love will keep you warm

    Through the coldest night..

Through the rain, through the storm..

When friends turn their backs on you

    and you're so helpless

you don't know what to do

I'll be on your side to comfort you

My love will see you through..

When tears are in your eyes

and you feel you wanna cry

Just reach out and I'll be around to understand

    When you stumble and fall

and you need a shoulder to lean on

All you have to do is call

and I'll be there with a helping hand

When the road seems so long and endless

and all you see is nothing but darkness

Don't give up, just walk on..

    Have faith in your heart

For my love will see you through

My love will see you through

When you reach for your star

When you cross the deepest sea

When you climb the highest hill

My love will always be with you

    In everything you do

    In every step you'll make

    In every road you'll take

Don't be afraid to follow your dreams

For my love will see you through!!!

Not sure... I have felt lonesome surrounded by friends, although when you're with people their presence and talk usually won't let you hear that lonesome whipporwill and the midnight train whinin' low, so I'd say it wasn't exactly that Hank Williams I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry kinda lonesome... maybe it was a Jim Reeves Blue Side Of Lonesome kinda lonesome... or perhaps more like somethin' by Ray Price, Don Gibson or Jerry Lee Lewis... Anyway, I'd hate to imagine you feelin' that way... so... how 'bout My Uncle Used To Love Me (But She Died) by Roger Miller as a favorite lonesome song? Or maybe When You're Hot You're Hot or Amos Moses by Jerry Reed?

I have in the past but not in along while. To answer your question, when I'm low, I cry, I pray, listen to my favourite music, watch films that cheer me up. Sometimes it works, other times it does not but I muddle through and I have come to realise joy and sorrow are like two sides of a coin, one helps you appreciate the other.

All I can say is things will get better, try and be positive and focus on the things you have going for you. Life is a gift that must be cherished.

Yes I have felt so lonesome I did cry, I thought I had good friends but when I really needed them they let me down, that hurt really bad but things change and you move on from it and in the future if I feel so lonesome I could cry, I just won't let people see the tears this time.

Now since my baby left me I've found a new place to dwell:

down at the end of Lonely Street at Heartbreak Hotel.

I'm so lonely, I'm so lonely,

I'm so lonely that I could die.

And though it's always crowded you can still find some room

for broken hearted lovers to cry there in the gloom

and be so lonely, oh so lonely,

oh so lonely they could die.

    I sing this!!!!!!!

    Not until very recently,

I met a girl, fell in love with girl.

thing is she's so far away,

now I do feel so very alone,

never really felt this alone before.
