Are the red crabs that are alongside the roads in French Polynesia edible and are they harvested for food?

    I wish I could find an answer on the internet but couldn't. Your best bet is to ask the natives there. Also if there are Chinese, Philipinos and other asians there you could find out the answer from them. Good luck if you are still in French Polynesia. If not ask the tourist center for the islands.
