Is it cool to bring a cake?
We're visiting relatives and think of bringing a cake, they are on the heavy side, is it rude or cool to bring a cake?

Bring an ice cream cake, everyone likes it and it doesn't have to be eaten up right away--they can keep it in the fridge!
Don't make a big deal about their weight, that wouldn't be cool...

Is this a "Hostess" gift? My wife tells me such gifts should be capable of being either saved or used right away. A cake pretty much says "eat me now". So, regardless of their weight, something else would be cooler. How about a good bottle of California wine?

why does it matter whether theyre heavy or not? skinny people like cake just as much as heavy people do. theyre humans, not some weird creatures. of course its not "rude"
